Besides writing and directing murder mystery plays, one of which was featured on Fox News, JoAnn has acted professionally at WV Public Theatre and the Cumberland Theater.  Some of her credits include Sound of Music (Mother Abbess), The King & I (Anna), Oliver! (Nancy), Annie (Miss Hannigan), and Marian (Music Man).  She sings standards, gospel, patriotic, and show tunes and portrays Jenny Lind for the WV Humanities Council’s History Alive! program.  She also portrays Mary Lincoln, “Molly” Brown, and Nellie Bly in first person.  Trivia – JoAnn opened for Janis Ian at the Little Yough Music Festival, emceed an Aaron Carter concert for Radio Disney, was an extra in movie The Replacements starring Keanu Reeves, and has starred opposite Tony nominee Mark Baker at The New Embassy Theater.  When not on stage, JoAnn manages her own company, Mountaineer Country Tours, serves as the Executive Director of the Preston Community Arts Center, Inc, and arts council treasurer.
